Pak among top milk, livestock producers: Minister

ATTOCK: Due to the government’s policies, Pakistan is now among the top producers of milk and livestock.

This was stated by State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad during a ceremony, organised by the Livestock Department on the other day where keys of motorbikes were handed over to 114 veterinary assistants. District Officer Livestock Attock Muhammad Yameen was also present on the occasion.

The minister said that govt is giving due priority to promote livestock and for the purpose revolutionary steps are being taken. He said that halal meat produced by Pakistan is on high demand abroad specially in gulf countries.

He said , Livestock is back bone of any country and Punjab government under leadership of Mian Shahbaz Sharif is giving top priority and its ample proof is that across Punjab 4,500 motorbikes have been given to veterinary assistants.
