ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner to India Mansoor Ahmad Khan has lodged protest with senior officers of the Ministry of External Affairs over different issues.
The burning issue was regarding a notice sent by the Reserve Bank of India to the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) over alleged unlawful purchase of properties and visa related issues.
The official twitter account of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi shared the lodging of the protest with the Indian Government.
“Deputy High Commissioner raised PIA property and visa issues with senior officers of Ministry of External Affairs in a meeting today,” it posted.
According to reports, Pakistan has alleged that PIA was harassed by Indian authorities over the purchase of properties on Barakhamba Road in the national capital in apparent violation of RBI guidelines, further stating that the move was meant to force PIA to shut its operations in India.
