KARACHI: The Pak Rupee depreciated by 26 paisas against US dollar on Monday due to demand for import and corporate payments.
The rupee ended Rs138.81 to the dollar from last Friday’s closing of Rs138.55 in interbank foreign exchange market.
Dealers said that that the market was opened after two weekly holidays, which increased the demand from import and corporate side. The foreign exchange market was opened in the range of Rs138.60 and Rs138.70. The market recorded day high of Rs138.82 and low of Rs138.55.
The exchange rate in the open market was remained stable. The buying and selling of dollar was recorded at Rs138.50/Rs138.80, the same level on Saturday, in cash ready market.
