It is important to mention here that the customs intelligence had recovered 100-tola gold and foreign currency from her possession. The seizure case was registered by the Multan customs against the seized gold and currency.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Sajida Bibi, 72, is an American nationality holder and his two sons have also been living in the United States for the last few years.

The accused woman has submitted relevant documents to disclose the source of income to the customs authorities.

Sources told Customs Today that accused woman told investigation and prosecution that she sold her house located in Shah Rukn-e-Alam colony and now is migrating to America.

She said she was unaware of the customs bylaws to declare money and gold before clearance at the airport.

The customs authorities decided not to lodge any case against said woman after receiving legal evidences.
