Pak-Vietman ink MoU for trade promotion

ISLAMABAD: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation for trade promotion between two countries.

The MoU was signed at the conclusion of 3rd Meeting of Joint Trade Commission.

The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi-Vietnam in which Secretary TDAP, Rabiya Javeri Agha and Director General Vietrade, Bui Huy Son signed the MoU on behalf of their respective countries.

The Pakistan side was led by Muhammad Shahzad Arbab, Secretary Commerce while the Vietnam delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Do Thang Hai.

The two sides reviewed the entire gamut of economic relations, identified obstacles and impediments to trade and set forth lines of actions to further develop and promote trade relations between the two countries.

Both sides also agreed that the next Round of Joint Trade Commission would be held in Islamabad on mutually convenient dates in 2016.
