Pak women entrepreneur wins 8 Stevie Awards in USA

NEW YORK: Syeda Amna Nasir Jamal, a rising women entrepreneur and social activist, won seven silver and one bronze Stevie Awards, widely considered being the world’s premier business awards held every year in the USA. She was nominated for all eight categories as a finalist among over 3,500 nominations at the 17th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business that are Female Executive of the Year, Employee of the Year, Female Innovator, Most Innovation Woman of the Year, Woman of the Year, Mentor or Coach of the Year, Most Valuable Non-Profit Response, and Organization of the Year.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. The Awards for Women in Business are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards and International Business Awards.

Syeda Amna led from the front and spearheaded the campaign of bringing about a revolution through education. “With consistent efforts and dedication to her cause I made it with grace and honor I started my NGO,” she said. “I am focused on raising awareness about education and civic engagement among women,” she said.

“The idea is to give women skills and confidence to participate as active members of society and politics and work towards making their communities peaceful.” She added that “I must say discovering your strengths are a lifelong process. Knowing your strengths will allow you to grow. I am able to figure out my strengths,” she added. “During my services being lawyer, researcher, writer, teacher and entrepreneur, I try to keep focus on my five strengths i.e. futuristic, strategic theme creator, learner, and also individualization and ideation,” she concluded.
