Pakistan Coast Guards arrest 68 Pakistanis, Afghans in Gwadar for attempting to go to Iran

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards have apprehended at least 68 people who were trying to travel to Iran without having valid travelling documents.

According to spokesperson of the Pakistan Coast Guards Major Zafar Ahmed, the coast guards during spot checking on Shah Jahan Road check post near Gwadar arrested the illegal immigrants.

Among these arrested immigrants, 34 were Afghan nationals, 34 were Pakistanis that included 12 female and children.

These individuals were proceeding to Iran without any valid visa documents and were poised to use sea border unauthorized crossing/ routes, Major Zafar added.
