Pakistan Coast Guards foil bid to smuggle Iranian diesel/petrol to Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) have foiled yet another bid to smuggle a huge quantity of Iranian diesel/petrol from Balochistan to Karachi.

According to details, a team of the Pakistan Coast Guards — during a snap checking near RCD Highway, Uthal (Balochistan) — seized three oil tankers containing 65,000 liters of Iranian diesel/petrol.

According to the PCG spokesman, the smuggled Iranian diesel was being brought to Karachi from Turbat.

“The trucks and confiscated diesel are in the custody of Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) while further investigations into the case is being underway”, he added.

The PCG spokesman further said that the estimated cost of three confiscated trucks along with 65000 liters of diesel amounting to Rs12 million.
