Pakistan Coast Guards seize 2,500 bottles of liquor

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards PCG recovered 2,500 bottles of foreign brand liquor hidden under sawdust from Coastal Highway, Kund Malir (Balochistan). PCG officials received information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of liquor in general area of Kund Malir, said a statement issued here on Tuesday. Special mobile team during the snap checking tried to stop a suspicious truck loaded with sawdust. The team after chasing the truck for a few kilometres succeeded to intercept the truck on coastal highway.

During search the PCG officials recovered bottles and took two alleged traffickers into custody. The value of the liquor in the market is about to Rs 15 million, the statement said.
