ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Arshed Saud Khosa called on Nepal’s Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his office and handed over a cheque of $1 million as Pakistan’s contribution towards reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts of Nepal.
Pakistan, at the June 25 International Conference on Nepal’s Reconstruction, had pledged $1 million for recovery and reconstruction work in the country, the Kathmandu post reported.
Prime Minister Koirala thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for contributing generously towards the reconstruction efforts and also appreciated Pakistan’s relief and medical assistance in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake.
