KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs is going to organize “Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Hockey” Tournament from 7th to 13th February-2015 at Customs Preventive Services Club and Sports Complex, situated in F.B Area Karachi.
The Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Preventive will host the entire tournament while all prominent national hockey teams including National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Pakistan Customs, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Police, Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Pakistan Steel will participate in the tournament.
According to details, four matches will be played on Feb-7 at 9.00am, 11.00am, 1.00pm and 4.00pm while the opening ceremony will be held on 7th February (today) at 3.00pm at Customs Preventive Services Club and Sports Complex.
Semi-finals of the tournament will be played on Feb-12 at 1.00pm and 3.00pm whereas, the final match of the tournament will be played on Feb-13 at 3.00pm followed by the closing ceremony. Detail schedule has already been posted on facebook while the matches of Pakistan Customs will be on 7th, 9th and 10th at 4.00pm.
According to a circular, the tournament is a Customs show, being organized and hosted by Customs and let join hand together to make it a success.
All the officers and staff are invited and requested to visit the stadium during the matches, especially during opening ceremony, semi-finals, final and the closing ceremony which will be telecasted live by PTV Sports. It is pertinent to mention here that the Collector-MCC Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda in the start of the current week has formally announced for organizing the “Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Hockey” Tournament during a press conference.
