Pakistan emerging as strong economy: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said that Pakistan is fast emerging in the world with positive macroeconomic indicators.

“We are putting in place a robust economic framework to steer Pakistan into the group of top progressing nations in the next decade,” the prime minister informed a group of visiting Qatari dignitaries here at the PM House.

The prime minister invited the delegation to invest in the highly profitable hydro-power sector of Pakistan, which offers tremendous investment opportunities, a statement from the PM House said. He said the brotherly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened by increased economic ties, the Prime Minister said.

Members of the delegation said that Pakistan was a different country under the present government and the Prime Minister’s leadership has generated great interest in international investor’s community due to absolute transparency and investor-friendly policies.

“We are exploring opportunities of investment in various sectors in Pakistan and have received support from everyone,” the delegation members told the prime minister.
