Pakistan, India chambers to discuss bilateral trade issues

ISLAMABAD: The India Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) is planning to discuss various issues pertaining to bilateral trade and economic relations as preparation for ‘Aalishan Pakistan’ lifestyle exhibition is underway in New Delhi.

According to sources, a meeting of the IPCCI officials will be held on September 12 to discuss vast range of matters, including agreements signed for liberal visa policy, Indian investment policy for Pakistani businessmen, redressing trade grievances, mutual recognition and customs cooperation, Non Tariff Barriers (NTBs), opening of bank branches, mode of transportation of cargo through Wagah and its infrastructure development.

It is pertinent to mention here that IPCCI was established under the MoU signed between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the national chambers of their respective country.
