LAHORE: Pakistan is producing world-standard cement as the local cement is being exported to the US, UK and South Africa.
DG Khan Cement General Manager (Works) Khalid Mahmood, said this while talking to media. He said that the Khairpur cement plant has the capacity to produce more than 6,500 tonnes of cement per day and manufactures 2 different products, Ordinary Portland Cement and Sulphate Resistant Cement, which are sold locally and exported.
The DG Khan Cement Khairpur facility is one of the largest cement production facilities of its kind in Pakistan, which is ISO certified and fulfils the requirements of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems as per ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004 respectively.
