Pakistan offers best investment opportunities, claims TDAP CEO

KARACHI: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) SM Muneer has said that Pakistan offers best investment opportunities in the world.

S M Muneer said that the law and order situation in Karachi is being improved by passage of time which is also resulting in positive outcome for the country due to the efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and other security agencies.

CEO TDAP further said that thousands of Pakistani citizens had been killed due to ongoing war against terrorism which is also resulting in the financial losses amounting to billions of dollars to Pakistan economy.

“The situation is changing now and the comprehensive strategy adopted by the government and armed forces in order to create conducive atmosphere for investment adding that the country had also been achieved over 80 per cent success against terrorists”, he added.

S M Muneer further said that Pakistani nation has become united against terrorism and due to this any move of terrorists and foreign elements would result in failure.

He stressed the need to improve bilateral trade between Pakistan and Canada and for this CEO TDAP proposed exchange of visits of Pakistani and Canadian businessmen, adding that for this purpose, prompt issuance of visa should be ensured because Pakistani businessmen usually face hardship due to strict visa policy of Canada.

On this occasion, S M Muneer invited Canadian entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan as there are opportunities of joint ventures in sectors including energy, textile, agriculture, dairy, marble etc., he said that foreigners have benefits of ideal profit rates, climate and natural resources for investment.
