According to sources, the tanker MT Petazoli has reached the port carrying 38,965 metric tonnes of motor oil and will be berthed at the FOTCO terminal. Additionally, two coal vessels and one palm oil ship are waiting at the outer anchorage.

Officials stated that a total of 10 vessels were handled over the past 24 hours. Currently, the port has two container ships, five bulk cargo vessels, and three carrying petroleum products.

Cargo statistics show a total of 168,850 metric tonnes handled at the port, including 136,936 metric tonnes of imports and 31,914 metric tonnes of exports.

Over the past 24 hours, eight ships arrived at the port while two departed, with three more expected to leave shortly.

Port authorities confirmed that arrangements are in place to ensure timely handling of cargo. Maritime experts noted that the import of large quantities of crude oil and petrol will help stabilise the supply chain and ensure fuel availability in the country.

Analysts added that the timely arrival of oil tankers will support refinery operations and maintain the steady flow of petroleum products in the market.
