Pakistan reserves increase $2,071m to $16,195.6m: SBP

KARACHI: Pakistan s foreign exchange reserves increase by $2,071 million to $16,195.6 million in the week ending June 24 after proceeds of the Chinese loan amounting to $2.3 billion were received, the central bank said on Thursday.

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 10,309.0 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 5,886.6 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$16,195.6 million

During the week ended on 24-Jun-2022, SBP received proceeds of CDB loan amounting to RMB 15 billion. After accounting for external debt repayment, SBP’s reserves increased by US$ 2,071 million to US$ 10,309.0 million.
