Pakistan secures pavilion in Gulf Food Exhibition

KARACHI: Pakistan will have the biggest pavilion in the Gulf Food Exhibition, to be held from February 26 to March 2, 2017 in Dubai, with 55 companies participating under the umbrella of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The exhibition is one of the most awaited events that highlights foodservice and the culture of hospitality of the Middle East.

Around 55 leading Pakistani food manufacturing companies will display their full range of products at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The food products that Pakistani firms intend to display include rice, juices, pickles assorted, canned fish, edible oil, fresh fruits & vegetables, chilled mutton & beef, frozen meat products, syrups assorted, confectionery and bakery items, tea, dried seeds, herbal & milk products, honey and dry fruits etc.

In the previous edition, 51 companies had participated under the umbrella of TDAP. However, keeping in view the demand for Pakistani food items, TDAP has made extra reservation of stalls.

TDAP will design a thematic pavilion for the exhibition as it plans to attract more buyers and visitors. Furthermore, TDAP will also compile a special directory of exhibitors and all trade missions in Middle East will be requested to send invitations to the prospect buyers to visit the Pakistan Pavilion.
