During the meeting Asad Umar briefed the delegation about the economic priorities of the present government which geared toward people centric economic growth and provision of social services to all citizens across the country.

The minister informed the delegation that Pakistan strongly believed in promoting regional economic integration. He said it was the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan to develop regional economic integration which was highly essential for the social and economic prosperity of the region.

The Minister highlighted the benefits of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying that Pakistan would become the hub of economic activities once the project is completed. Pakistan also offered training facilities for the Banks from Turkmenistan.

The meeting also underscored the need for strengthening financial linkages between the two countries as well as enhancing cooperation against money laundering activities. It was also agreed to take steps for the practical implementation of TAPI project.
