KARACHI: Pakistan Tax Forum has sought extension in the last date of tax amnesty scheme by Federal Board of Revenue saying that it holds the potential to add up to Rs 718 billion in the gross domestic product (GDP) annually.

The demand was raised by Pakistan Tax Forum President Zulfiqar Khan while speaking at a meeting. He said that the initiative taken by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was well timed and in right direction as the size of parallel economy was growing with every passing day.
