KARACHI: The trade relations between Pakistan and India are growing day by day.
According to the source, the government of Pakistan has allowed the import of carbon dioxide in liquid form from the neighboring country India. Earlier, the import of carbon dioxide in liquid form was banned from India but now the federal government has lifted the ban.
India is already exporting different chemicals like FMCG, yarn, machinery, cotton as well as other items to Pakistan. Source claimed that the federal government’s decision to allow import of carbon dioxide from India is due to the pressure of the trading lobby. The lobby is very much near to the high level officials of the current government.
After the decision to allow the import of the carbon dioxide from India now all gas will come through land route and for this decision the Attari to Wagha border is planned. On the decision the Ministry of Commerce has also issued the notification regarding the allow to import carbon dioxide in liquid form from India, the source added.
The new chapter of Indo Pakistan trade is poised to grow. At each turn there are many challenges and it takes persistence and patience of the trading community of both sides to overcome.
