Pakistan to rise as big economic power in world soon: Kirmani

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan would rise as a big economic power in the world soon, said Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani.

He said that Pakistan is making progress by leaps and bounds under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, adding that the capital city of Pakistan would be made one of the most modern cities of the world soon.

He was addressing a reception dinner hosted by newly-elected Chairman Syed Zeshan Ali Naqvi of PML-N in Union Council-49, Shah Allah Ditta, here. He expressed satisfaction over the party’s performance in local government (LG) polls in the Islamabad capital territory (ICT), adding that there was still room for improvement.

To achieve development of the city, the PML-N winning candidates would have to work with more passion. He said that Nawaz Sharif had expressed greetings to the newly elected members of local body election in the federal capital.

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD) Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Human Rights, Barrister Zafar Ullah, MNA (PML-N) Malik Ibrar and elected chairmen and vice chairmen of PML-N from Union Councils of ICT also attended the reception.
