KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief SM Muneer has told Senior Commercial Officer of US Embassy in Pakistan David McNeil that he has high hopes that positive results of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with President Barack Obama will come soon.

Speaking at a meeting of KATI with David McNeil, Muneer said that Pakistan has suffered tremendous loss due to Afghan war. Muneer suggested that the US government should not oppose the proposed gas pipeline between Iran and Pakistan as Pakistan needs gas to run its industry. He emphasised that Pakistan is an energy deficit country and to overcome it needs gas. Muneer appealed for more support in terms of trade to overcome the economic crises in Pakistan due to Afghan war.
