According to the report, for Pakistan, border management with Afghanistan is not just a matter of customs or trade, but a matter of national survival and security.

The journal pointed out that in recent times, terrorist acts from Afghan soil in Pakistan have increased, in which the lives of security personnel and civilians have been lost.

According to Eurasia Review, Pakistan’s closure of the Afghan border crossings is an important and timely decision for the protection of its citizens.

The report said that Pakistan’s stance is clear that terrorism is the biggest obstacle to the restoration of relations with Kabul.

The report, citing international experts, said that the Afghan Taliban government must make a clear decision whether it will continue to shelter terrorist elements or join the countries of the region in a common journey of peace, stability and development.
