The SBP attributed the increase in its foreign exchange reserves during the week mainly to the receipt of about US$ 1.2 billion (equivalent to SDR 914 million) received from the IMF under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

Meanwhile, the net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks also increased by $ 176.5 million to $ 5,202.2 million, the break up of forex reserves for the period under review depicted.
