ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded a $2.59 billion trade surplus with the United States during fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting continued strong exports to the country.
According to sources, Pakistan’s exports to the US reached $5.91 billion during FY2025-26, while imports from the United States stood at $3.32 billion.
Pakistan’s cumulative trade surplus with the US has exceeded $17 billion over the past five years, underscoring the importance of the American market for Pakistani exporters.
During the five-year period, Pakistan’s total exports to the US amounted to $29.15 billion, while imports from the country totaled $12.12 billion.
Pakistan recorded a trade surplus of $4.09 billion with the US in FY2024-25, with exports reaching $5.84 billion.
In FY2023-24, the trade surplus stood at $4.02 billion, while Pakistani exports amounted to $5.29 billion and imports from the US totaled $1.26 billion.
The trade surplus was $3.25 billion in FY2022-23, when Pakistan exported goods worth $5.285 billion to the US and imported $2.033 billion.
In FY2021-22, Pakistan’s trade surplus with the US stood at $3.07 billion. Exports reached $6.83 billion, while imports amounted to $3.76 billion.
The figures highlight the US as a major destination for Pakistani exports, with Pakistan maintaining a trade surplus with the country throughout the five-year period.
