Panasonic introduces new Toughpad FZ-E1, Toughpad FZ-X1 and Toughbook CF-54 in India

NEW DELHI: Panasonic has introduced new Toughpads and Toughbook in India namely, the Toughpad FZ-E1, Toughpad FZ-X1 and Toughbook CF-54. The Toughpad FZ-E1 is a 5-inch tablet running Windows Embedded 8 handheld (for enterprise use). On the other hand, the company has also announced a similarly designed Toughpad FZ-X1 running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. The Toughbook CF-54 is based on Windows 8.1 operating system.

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 are priced at Rs 1.19 lakh and Rs 1.09 lakh, respectively.

Both devices feature a 5-inch 720p display and come equipped with an 8MP rear snapper and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. On the memory front, expect 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory that is expandable via microSD card slot.

The Toughpad tablets are drop-resistant up to 10 feet on concrete with MIL-STD-810G specifications. They also adhere to IP65/IP68 dust and waterproof capabilities. They are fitted with a 6,200mAh battery that promises to deliver up to 14 hours of usage.

The semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 comes powered by the fifth gen Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor and has a swappable battery option promising 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. Panasonic calls it the thinnest and lightest semi-rugged PC in its category, which is 50 percent thinner and 25 percent lighter than its predecessor.

The Toughbook CF-54 is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh.
