Paragon Housing scam: FBR summons Kamran Kiyani & Nadeem Zia on January 21

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued final show cause notice to Kamran Kiyani, a brother of former army chief Gen (R) Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and Director Nadeem Zia of M/s Paragon City Housing Society and directed them to appear before the board on January 21, 2019.

According to official sources, the board has issued final show cause notices to both the accused who kept their assets undeclared and directed them to appear before the board till January 21 and elucidate their position with regard to assets.

Sources also added that the board will arrest both the accused if they failed to appear before the board on the notified date as this is the final show cause notices issued to both of them.

Meanwhile, both the accused may face 6 months imprisonment after failing to file their response to the board according to law, sources confirmed.

It is important to mention here that the Accountability Court has also begun proceedings to declare Kamran Kiyani and Paragon City Housing Society’s Director Nadeem Zia absconder in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal scheme case under sections 87 & 88 of Code of Criminal Procedure.
