ALASKA: Paramount Hospitality won the overall 2015 Small Business (SB) of the Year Award from the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce (NCCOC).Besides the overall winner, the three award categories included: the employer category, the entrepreneur category, and the growth category. The Chamber has hosted the awards ceremony for the past four years.
There were 125 nominations for the award, leading to the top ten finalists. The finalists were: Advanced Technology Logistics, Bubbles and Brushes Art Studio, Crezent Managed Marketing, FutureStaff, Georgia Pain and Spine Care, Headley Construction, LifePlan Financial Advisors, Paramount Hospitality Management, PrimeTime Eventz, and The Newnan Centre.U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland was a special guest presenter.
Westmoreland commented on how he was once a small businessman and how he understands the process. “I love entrepreneurs because I was a small business guy from 1982-2004, so I understand what you’re going through,” said Westmoreland. “I’m proud to be here and a part of this small business ceremony because you’re the backbone of our economy I hope you keep going and know you’re appreciated,” he added.
Paramount Hospitality, the overall winner, manages and operates hotels throughout Coweta County and Georgia. Nick Lakah, the owner, was present to accept the award.”As I have said before, we do business with a lot of communities, and Newnan is by far a fantastic place to do business,” said Lakah. “This community has embraced me and my business.”Lakah started his business in 2001 after working for various companies as a consultant.
