Sources further told that office-barriers of chamber of commerce and industries are also included in those taxpayers who didn’t pay any taxes.

Meanwhile sources also confirmed that the Parliament Secretariat has also reviewed a proposal to ban those taxpayers who didn’t pay taxes and are office-bears of the FCCI and other associations.

Sources informed that most of those taxpayers who submitted the income tax returns with zero tax paid with the aim to avoid any further taxes are salaried, agriculture, property income taxpayers.

It is important to mention here that FBR has exempted these taxpayers from the audit; however, increase in the number of taxpayers with zero tax paid is a serious issue which needs an immediate action from the related authorities.
