LAHORE: About 22 per cent of wheat has been procured from the glowers so far and over 50 per cent gunny bags have been distributed across the country.
According to the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Service Corporation Limited (Passco) spokesperson, the cooptation started procurement from May 1 and distributed 56 per cent gunny bags in Punjab, 88 per cent in Sindh, 63 per cent in Balochistan, it was informed to Federal Minister for National Food and Security Skindar Bosan, who visited the Passco Lahore centre and appreciated its efforts for wheat procurement on merit. The minister presided over a meeting regarding Passco wheat procurement which was attended by all general managers.
