Pay refunds to traders, TDAP chief Muneer to FBR’s Bajwa

ISLAMABAD: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has asked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to pay the sales tax refunds and customs rebate funds to traders timely.

TDAP Chairman S.M Muneer said that he has highlighted the real time demands of traders in a meeting with FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa and urged him to take measure to facilitate the traders. Muneer said that he had asked FBR to pay almost Rs 7 billion customs rebate refunds and billion of rupees sales tax refund to traders.

On the other hand, he said that Pakistan could not bring its exports at the level of Rs 30 billion as the electricity and gas were not available to the industry. Besides that, Finland Ambassador R. Rauli Suikkanen hold meeting with TDAP Chairman Muneer to promote the trade relations between both the countries. The TDAP chairman highlighted the trade potential between both countries especially in the field of IT and Engineering, Paper, Mining fields.
