LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has warned all the taxpayers to pay sales tax and submit their returns before June-end which marks the completion of the outgoing fiscal year.
According to the PRA spokesperson, both fine and surcharge would be applicable to them in case they failed to meet the deadline.
The PRA is a semi- autonomous organisation responsible for collecting and enforcing sales tax on services, which has a target of collecting Rs190 billion for the year 2022-23.
In 2021-22, the authority had managed over Rs170bn in revenue collection, exceeding the target of Rs155bn.
