PBIT briefs Chinese delegation with Pakistani mango exports to China

LAHORE: Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) facilitated a meeting of four member Chinese delegation with the Mango exporters. The delegates were given a briefing about the whole scenario categorically starting with the mango season, different kinds of mangoes, total production of mangoes in Pakistan and classified the quality of different mangoes. Three prominent types of export quality mangoes such as Sindhri, Chaunsa and White Chaunsa depending on the taste and preference around the globe were discussed. Member of delegation, Chen Shee told that the mangoes required in China should be of 400 gram size, clean, unspotted and packed.

He also informed that total demand of mangoes for china through this company in one season is 800 tons (USD 2.5 million). Mango exporters informed the delegates about the Global gap certified farms and the Hot Water Treatment processing units available in Punjab. They offered the delegates to see the mango orchards and processing units in order to see the   facilities available in Punjab. The exporters ensured that they have capacity to export best quality fruits as per Chinese standards.
