Chinese delegation visits PBIT to explore investment opportunities in Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, (PBIT) has hosted a delegation from China Overseas Investment Federation, (COIF) headed by Executive President Marshall Zheng. Representatives of companies from various sectors such as infrastructure development, energy development, security services, industrial investment and management were part of the delegation. The delegation was welcomed by PBIT Chairman Abdul Basit and CEO Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani.

Speaking on the occasion, the PBIT chairman said that Pakistani businessmen are ready to cooperate with their Chinese counterparts in the fields of trade and investment.

CEO PBIT also added that PBIT will provide all support required by COIF for exploring investment opportunities in Punjab.  An MoU was also signed to further enhance the trade and investment relations between the two countries through PBIT & COIF.

Both organizations would jointly utilize their resources with proper plan specifically in the sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and livestock, renewable energy, mining, information, technology and textile.  It was also mutually decided that both organizations will organize events, trade fairs and exchange delegations for trade and investment promotions.
