PCA summons M/s Aryan Enterprises alongwith relevant documents

KARACHI: Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) detected tax evasion of Rs 4.2 million by importer M/s Aryan Enterprises.

According to details, M/s Aryan Enterprises imported a consignment of 500 ML operation theater system lock connection and availed undue benefits and concessions by using SRO No. 1125. During scrutiny of the import documents it was revealed that the company availed undue benefits and concessions and caused a loss of Rs 4.2million to national kitty.

The Post Clearance Audit authorities also clarified that 500 ML operation theatre large lock connection not falls under the category of concessionary items. While on the other hand the company did not mentioned these items as “surgical.” The company cleared the consignment of above said items during the monthof April.

Now PCA authorities issued a notice to management of M/s Aryan Enterprises asking them to present themselves before PCA authorities along with relevant documents to explain their position on above said issue.
