PCG nab 103 in Pasni for trying to leave Pakistan illegally

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) have apprehended illegal immigrants from Pasni (Balochistan).

Talking to Customs Today, PCG spokesman Major (r) Zafar Ahmed said that due to on-going Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists and miscreants in different parts of the country, likelihood and possibility of militants to escape from coastal belt have increased, particularly along Pak-Iran border.

He further said that in view of the sensitive situation, the PCG have intensified checking through road checks and constituted special mobile patrolling teams in its area.

“Last night, PCG officials were apprehended 103 illegal people, including 11 Afghani, five Irani and 87 Pakistani nationals from two different locations, who were proceeding to Iran without any valid visa documents and were poised to use sea border, using unauthorized crossings and routes, he added.

He further revealed that after initial investigations, all apprehended persons were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation.
