He also expressed his gratitude to Chief Justice, Mohammad Iftikhar Chaudhry, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Tariq Bajwa and officials concerned of Pakistan Customs for their efforts to launch campaign against illegal petrol pumps and CNG stations.

Sami Khan said that members of the two associations are also striving hard to contain the practice and come hard on the strong mafia engaged in the illegal business.

He requested the authorities concerned to continue with their crackdown against unscrupulous elements related to petroleum and CNG business causing immense loss to the national economy.

Khan said these efforts also needed to be complimented with all relevant measures to discourage others from adopting illegal practices.

He said the country is already exposed to severe energy crisis and coming soft on criminal elements will further aggravate the situation.
