PDWP KP approves 23 projects worth Rs71.177b

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here Thursday.

The meeting was attended by its members and respective administrative Secretaries. The forum considered 29 projects pertaining to different sectors including Local Government, Health, Sports (Youth affair), Elementary & Secondary Education, Forestry, Food, Home, Law & Justice, Water, Road, Urban Development, Building & DWSS sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 23 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs 7177.075 million, while 6 project were deferred due to inadequate design.

The projects of health sector approved in the meeting were included Court Decretal amount to be paid to the land owners in respect of 8 Kanal land purchased for Cat-D Hospital Barikot and Upgradation of RHC Nizampur to Category-D Hospital District Nowshera.

The projects of Sports (youth affair) Sector approved by the PDWP were Youth Development Package” & “Support to the living human treasure of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”. Approved project of Elementary & Secondary Education sector was “GHSS Bin Payan, Dir Upper PK-91.

In forestry sector, the meeting approved project of Remote-Sensing Solution for Forest Change Detection in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while Automation of Food Department project of food sector and construction of District Jail Swabi (Phase-II in home sector was also approved. Various projects in different sectors worth billions of rupees were also approved in the meeting.
