PESHAWAR: A meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan here Friday approved 63 development projects costing Rs 27,262.803 million (over Rs 27 billion).
The forum considered 70 projects pertaining to different sectors including Elementary & Secondary, Higher Education, Sports & Tourism, Relief & Rehabilitation Department, Local Development, Special Development Unit, Local Development, Roads, Water, Home, Law and Justice, Industries, Science, Technology and Information Technology, Transport and Health sectors for the uplift of the province.
Seven projects were deferred due to inadequate designs and returned to respective departments for rectification and improvements. The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary Planning and Development Department, its members and respective administrative Secretaries.
