LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved three development projects with an estimated cost of Rs 2304.177 million (over Rs 2 billion).
These schemes were approved in the 36th meeting of PDWP of current fiscal year 2015-16, presided over by Punjab P&D Board Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. P&D Provincial Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, P&D members, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
According to the P&D spokesman, the approved development schemes included: Establishment of flyover across railway track in Raiwind, Lahore at the cost of Rs 1,047.034 million, widening/improvement of 12km Palace Road from Pull Dari Sangi to UAE Palace length at the cost of Rs 938.024 million and establishment of ICU at BV Hospital Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs 319.119 million.
