MULTAN: Multan Excise and Taxation (E&T) Director Ahmad Saeed has advised the people to avail five percent rebate on the payment of property tax until September 30.
He said that the department was focusing on the property tax collections, claiming that the department registered 14 percent increase in collection of taxes in July 2014, against the corresponding month of last year.
He lauded the tax recovery officials for their efficiency, saying that this spirit has been enabling the Multan region to be on the top of the list in tax recovery in the province for the last few years. He advised the officials to keep it up.
He pointed out that in July 2014, tax amounting to Rs 12.7 million had been recovered.
When asked about the impact of the PTI’s civil disobedience call, he said the people were paying taxes as per routine.
