“Massive cutting of trees in different areas of the country including Karachi had hit the environment,” he stated while talking to a private news channel.

He said that fossil fuel being used in the developed countries after the 19th Century and smoke emitting vehicles are the major reasons for environment degradation being observed in several under developed countries particularly South Asian region.

Mushahidullah Khan said that heavy rains and floods in the recent years had destroyed the crops of this country.

To a question, he said that the concerned departments and authorities should take measures for forestation or planting trees.

Federal Minister said that planning trees in all parts of the provinces would help control rising temperature or heat wave.
