Performance allowance of two IR officers restored

ISLAMABAD: The performance allowance in respect of two Inland Revenue Service officers of BS-16 has been restored.

On completion of declaration of assets, the performance allowance (equivalent to 100 per cent of basic pay) of Nasir Kharn Abbasi and Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, both posted at Large Taxpayers Unit, Islamabad, has been restored with effect from November 1, 2016 and January 10, 2017 respectively.

The allowance of these officers was discontinued vide FBR’s Notification No 2127-IR-IV/2015, dated 09.09.2015. According to the notification, the officials, whose performance allowance was discontinued on account of imposition of minor or major penalty, besides shortfall of declaration of assets, will however not be restored through this notification, until they have gone through fresh process of selection for performance allowance.
