Peruvian exports of fresh mangoes increase 32% in 2015

LIMA: According to the AgrodataPeru web portal, Peruvian exports of fresh mangoes between January and October 2015 reached an FOB value of $150.63 million dollars, i.e. 32% more than the $120.13 million dollars obtained in the same period last year.

The Netherlands was the main the main destination for Peruvian fresh mangoes with purchases for $60.17 million dollars in the period, followed by the United States, with purchases for $45.14 million, the United Kingdom (with $16.36 million dollars), Spain ($7.95 million), and France ($4.76 million).

AgrodataPeru also stated that the Peruvian company with the highest shipments of mango abroad had been Sunshine Export SAC, as it had achieved billing $11 million dollars between January and October this year.

Camposol SA followed it, with shipments of $10.81 million dollars; then came Dominus SAC, with $9.30 million, FLP del Peru ($7.25 million), Fruit Piuranas SAC ($6 million), and Passion Fresh SAC ($5.94 million), among others.

The volume of fresh mango exports between January and October amounted to 97,207,725 kilos. The FOB value recorded in October was US $749.376. The average export price (FOB) in October was US $1.06 per kilo.
