Pervaiz Elahi criticises Budget 2015-16

LAHORE: Former Chief Minister of Punjab Chudhry Pervaiz Elahi rejected the federal budget present by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.

He said that increment in the salaries of government employees was not up to the mark and termed 7 percent increase as joke with government servants.

He added that tax imposition on dairy products would create hurdles for the agriculture sector and for small farmers.

“Increase in prices of petrol, electricity and basic necessities of life shows that government seeks to put burden on public and not to reduce its expenses,” he said.

The Budget 2015-16 has been framed keeping in view the necessities of the elite class.
