PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has announced to reduce power tariff by Rs3 per unit for the industrial consumers.
This was decided at the power utility’s 105th BoD meeting at Wapda House in Peshawar on Saturday evening. The meeting was chaired by Pesco BoD Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan.
“The decision will be immediately implemented and bills will be revised if already issued,” said the official statement.
On the occasion, the BoD chairman said efforts must be made to improve Pesco’s performance to help it become a consumer-friendly company. Pesco can become a profitable entity if line losses are reduced and the recovery of bills is improved, he added.
