Pesco overcome line losses by 1% in KP

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has claimed to brought down line losses by one percent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This was said during the 109th board of directors (BoD) meeting of PESCO, held at the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) House Peshawar. The meeting was chaired by PESCO BoD Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan. The company’s secretary presented minutes of the 108th BoD meeting, which were approved after detailed discussions. The BoD hailed the officials’ efforts to curtail expenditures, which resulted in saving billions of rupees.

According to details, around Rs 620 million were saved in the PC Pole Plant Jehangira, while around Rs 10 million were cut in the construction cost of two blocks in Wapda Colony, Sakhi Chashma. In the meeting, the BoD approved the revised discounted contract rates for construction of Category-III flats at Wapda Colony, Sakhi Chashma. The revised discounted contract rate of transformer reclamation workshop in Sarai Norang was also approved.
