Peshawar ANF recovers 50 kg drugs from 12 persons

PESHAWAR: Anti-Narcotics Force Peshawar arrested 12 persons and recovered more than 50 kilogram narcotics in 11 separate crackdowns on Sunday.

In the first crackdown, ANF Peshawar intercepted a suspected Suzuki Mehran car near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar and recovered 8.4 kg of hashish, which was concealed under the rear seats of the car.

In another operation, ANF Peshawar, in collaboration with the ASF, arrested an accused Masood Khan, a resident of Khurram Agency, at the Peshawar International Airport while travelling to Jeddah by flight No: NL-721 and recovered 1.960 kg heroin concealed in a luggage bag.

In third operation, ANF Peshawar stopped a car near Zakori Sharif Bridge, GT Road, Peshawar, and recovered 15.6 kg hashish concealed in the trunk of the car. A person named Khan Zeb, a resident of Charsadda, was apprehended on the spot.

In forth operation, ANF Peshawar checked a Toyota Hiace near Marry Police checkpost, Terah Road, Kohat, and recovered one kg hashish.

In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 2.4 kg hashish from the possession of accused travelling in a Hiace near Jail stop, Bannu Road, Kohat. Accused identified as Gul Pur Rehman, a resident of Khyber Agency, was arrested on the spot.

In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar stopped a Suzuki Mehran & a Motorcycle near Sports Complex, Hayatabad, Peshawar, and recovered 17.150 kg of hashish concealed in the secret cavities of the car. Five persons, indentified as Zaheer Ahmed and Shakeel Khan, residents of Khyber Agency, Mohabbat Khan, a resident of Peshawar, Muhammad Kashif, a resident of Charsadda, and Muhammad Zulfiqar, a resident of Abbotabad, were held on the spot.

In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a rickshaw near Tamab Farm, GT Road, Peshawar, and recovered two kg heroin from the possession of accused Asmat Ullah, a resident of Mohamand Agency.

In eighth operation, ANF Peshawar prevented a Toyota XLI car near CBRC Canal, Peshawar, and recovered 32 kg of hashish which was concealed under CNG cylinder of the car. Two persons on board, identified as Abdul Rehman, a resident of Quetta, and Atta Ullah, a resident of Khyber Agency, were apprehended on the spot.

In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Imran Ullah Afridi and Zahoor Ahmed, both residents of Peshawar, recovered 16.8 kg hashish from their possession. They were held while riding on a motorcycle near Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar.

In tenth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 500 gram heroin from the possession of the accused named Muhammad Jamal, a resident of Sargodha, while he was travelling in a coaster near New Toll Plaza, Kohat.

In eleventh operation, ANF Peshawar checked a Suzuki Mehran car near Pakhal CNG, Shinkayari Road, Mansehra, and recovered four kg hashish from the possession of three accused including Muhammad Kashif, a resident of Peshawar, Usman, a resident of Khyber Agency, and Shaid Mehmood, a resident of Mansehra.
