Peshawar ASO impounds Toyota Surf worth Rs 2m in Nowshera

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) of Nowshera impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Surf worth Rs 2 million.

ASO Deputy Collector Muhammad Amin told Customs Today that anti-smuggling campaign was going very well in North Zone of the Peshawar Customs.

The deputy collector said that a mobile squad of Nowshera was on routine checking when it intercepted a vehicle and asked the driver to show documents regarding the customs clearance of the vehicle but he remained fail to do the same.

Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle worth Rs 2 million under the customs laws and shifted it to the Customs House. A case has been lodged against the accused person.
